Lastly, we just had to share these adorable little birds. Our avian friends are the true harbingers of spring, chirping their little tunes to welcome the blossoms, and these little seedpod birds are true works of art. They are handmade in Zimbabwe by Raina Mazwiembiri and her daughter, who make a seven hour journey just to collect the seedpods that make up the birds’ bodies. They then shape the legs, heads and beaks out of wire and putty, and hand paint each bird with bright paint. We love how each one has such a distinct, endearing personality.
